Jackie and Dave Rowe (Arliemoor's owners) live in the house, but Arliemoor has  other members of staff all of whom live nearby and work a shift system. All staff, including Arliemoor's Manager Annette Evans, have direct contact with  residents on a day to day basis and there are rarely less than four people available for care duties at any one time. We share both caring and domestic duties except where someone has a particular skill or aptitude. Our staff have all either obtained NVQs in Care and Management or are working towards them, and we also arrange regular in-house staff training sessions led by qualified and experienced mental health professionals. One staff member is qualified as an NVQ Assessor and the Owners and Manager of Arliemoor have a supervisor (a retired Lecturer from Exeter University) who offers advice and guidance when necessary.

We believe that our high ratio of staff to residents is a very important factor in Arliemoor's success. It means that we always have time for the people in our care, and can offer individual attention when (or if ) anyone needs it. The high staffing ratio also means that we have time for fun: Arliemoor is our residents' home while they are staying with us, and we aim to make their time here enjoyable as well as helpful.
