Arliemoor is situated in lovely countryside, about  two miles from Holsworthy, Devon. Our position is rural but not isolated since there is a local bus service accessing most towns and villages in the area. The larger centres of Bideford and Barnstaple are within ready access and the coastal town of Bude (which is in North Cornwall) is nine miles distant. Walks along the coast have spectacular views and access to both sandy and pebbled beaches: Dartmoor with its rich history and rugged terrain is half an hour away by car.

Holsworthy is a small friendly town with a Post Office,  a library, a swimming pool and sports hall, a well established medical centre and a small cottage hospital. It also has a weekly market, churches of  various denominations, an amateur dramatic society and a small shopping centre. Holsworthy Community College offers adult education in both  certificated and leisure courses and Devon County Council's Social Services Department runs Holsworthy Link, a social resource centre where people with mental health difficulties can meet and obtain support. The Link also arranges courses and outings..
